Adding captions to your podcast means generating a text transcript that displays on screen, either burned into the video or as a separate subtitle file. 1. Transcribe. Run your audio or video through an auto-transcription tool. It will get most words right.

3. Time them. Make sure the words appear in sync with the speech. Most tools do this automatically.
